As to the protection of the environment from exhaust air, sewage, waste, noise and soil pollution we answer for all our activities. Therefore we have decided to introduce and apply an environmental management system according to DIN EN ISO 14001 and to continually monitor the specific requirements resulting from it.

The protection of the environment and thus the well-being of future generations is our company’s long term philosophy.

Well aware of its responsibility, Pressmetall commits itself to respecting the following principles:

• Statutory provisions as well as our partners’ requirements constitute the framework of our activities. We pledge to abide by all respective laws, directives, regulations and licensing requirements in order to guarantee the highest degree of safety and reliability and to minimize any environmental impact.
• As putting our environmental standards into practice can only be achieved if all our employees are aware of their acts being in accordance with environmental and safety norms, we enhance our employees’ sense of responsibility by specific training courses.
• Based on our rich experiences and aiming at the protection of the environment we keep investing in the development and the continuous improvement of our production facilities as well as our business processes.
• In order to protect our employees and the residents of the local surroundings of the company, measures are taken in cooperation with the authorities that are designed to avoid, to fend off and to deal with hazards. These measures are regularly reassessed and refined.
• In order to conserve natural resources we look for ways of further diminishing the consumption of energy and materials used for production.
• Gaseous emissions and sewage due to our production are of special importance to us. Registering, controlling and assessing them are one of the vital tasks of our environmental management system.
• Only peer-reviewed, licensed professional companies are entrusted with transporting our products and disposing of waste outside our own facilities.
• When making decisions concerning waste disposal of waste we opt for the procedure that corresponds to the nature of the waste and that enables a treatment best meeting the standards of the protection of the environment.
  
  

We take public interest in our activities seriously - including possible reservations. Therefore we maintain and develop a cooperative exchange of information with our neighbours, municipalities, organisations and other groups. It comprises all issues that concern the environmental aspects of our activity or that could lead to improvements.

The management of the company pledges to make the environmental management system put into practice the specifications of DIN EN ISO 14001 and reach its newly set goals as to environmental policy, to provide the necessary means for the protection of the environment as well as to train and qualify its employees correspondingly.
